Following previously released singles ‘Mochi’ and ‘Époustouflant’, Bandler Ching serves us the third and final single leading up towards new album ‘Mercurial’. While those earlier singles showed the more up-tempo side of this new body of work, new single ‘Ketsune’ is a striking example of the duality that lies within the music of the Brussels three piece.
Starting out smoothly from lucid, gentle and harmonious, almost hopeful melodies on one side; to destructive, intense and dominant tough rhythms on the other. Within its almost four-minute runtime, the track plays masterfully with the eternal dance of opposites, like light and dark, harmony and chaos, yin and yang. ‘Ketsune’ is rather unusual using these fragmented methods of storytelling, challenging the listener to find it’s place in this duality, going back and forth these intended outbursts and shifting dynamics within the track.
After three singles, it has quietly seeped in, Bandler Ching has in recent years become more into the icons that seek out the experiment within electronic music. These influences have begun to settle within their existing sound, making the upcoming album ‘Mercurial’ even more interesting and challenging.
The new single comes to life in a unique visualizer by Benoit Vangeel (known for his work with Tamino, Amenra, Black Box Revelation, BLUAI,...).
‘Ketsune’ marks the third and final single leading up to the new Bandler Ching album ‘Mercurial’, due for release on 21 February 2025 via Sdban Ultra and up for pre-order now!
